Who we are
OneWin Intellectual Property was established in 2011 in Ningbo. With Hexinli Patent Agency (CNIPA-registered, agency code 33273) we file and prosecute trademarks, patents and copyright for Chinese and overseas clients, and handle IP management system certification (GB/T 29490), disputes, customs recordal and data IP registration (China pilot program). We work with associates in the US, EU, Japan, Korea, Australia and Greater China.

FAQ
What is a trademark?
A sign used to distinguish goods or services. After registration the owner has exclusive rights in the designated goods/services in China.
What is a patent?
A time-limited exclusive right granted for an invention, utility model or design (industrial design). The trade-off is public disclosure of the technical solution.
What is copyright?
Copyright protects original expression in literary, artistic and scientific works. Software may also be recorded as a software copyright registration.
Why search trademarks before filing?
The application as filed is hard to amend. A search tests earlier similar marks and distinctiveness, and reduces refusals and extra cost.
Can we do GB/T 29490 with no patents or trademarks yet?
Yes. IP management system certification (GB/T 29490) is about the management system. Companies with no filings can still start, subject to the certification body’s rules.
What is data IP registration (China pilot program)?
A regional recordal of a data product that was lawfully obtained and substantially processed. It supports proof of rights, deals and pledges. Zhejiang has a working channel.
How do foreign trademarks and patents usually enter China?
Trademarks: Madrid, EU trade mark, or national filings. Patents: PCT national phase or Paris Convention national filings. The route depends on markets and budget.

Does IP management work include compliance, innovation and trade secrets?
They can be combined. We often implement GB/T 29490—2023, and may add ISO 56001, GB/T 35770 / ISO 37301 and T/PPAC 701 trade-secret protection.
